Upon graduating with double honors from UC Berkeley’s School of Landscape Architecture, Yasmine began work at Ken Kay Associates, a local San Francisco Master Planning, Urban Design and Landscape Architecture firm. Here she had the opportunity to focus on projects of varying scales and types. Her strong design, communication, collaboration and graphic skills allowed her to work as a project and production manager on projects such as The 1st ACT Vision for Downtown San Jose, University Associates Development Area at the NASA Research Park at Moffett Field, and The Coldstream Master Plan in Truckee, California among many others.

Subsequently, Yasmine held a key position in helping to build the School of Landscape Architecture at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco from the ground up. As full-time Faculty she taught conceptual and design-build studios, drawing and drafting, and history in all three schools of Landscape Architecture, Architecture, and Interior Architecture and design. In addition to teaching, Yasmine focused on creating internal collaborative design-build projects between the various schools of art and design as well as collaborations with the city of San Francisco Planning Department, local business owners, and neighborhood associations.

During her time at the Academy of Art University’s School of Landscape Architecture, Yasmine was elected to serve as a member of the board for the ASLA NCC. This role allowed her connect students to the real world of landscape architecture and vice versa. Additionally she served as a mentor and manager to students participating in the annual design and construction of gardens at the San Francisco Flower and Garden Show, which received many awards for four consecutive years.

Most recently, Yasmine finds herself in the heart of the Middle East, Iran, where there is a palpable need for Landscape Architects and the kind of whole-systems thinking that the field is able to provide. It is due to this need, and her cumulated knowledge and experience in this great field that she has embarked on her newest venture: LAND Studio; a Landscape Architecture, Master Planning, and Urban Design team dedicated to the creation of beautiful, sustainable, highly functional, and timeless open spaces.
